In the West Bank, Palestinian communities suffer daily from settler violence, backed by the army and enabled by police inaction. The presence of activists and documentation reduces violence and provides Palestinians with a sense of security and support.

Small shepherding communities, whose flocks are their livelihood and traditional way of life, face daily threats, attacks, and harassment from settlers, as well as denial of access to water and grazing land. The expansion of settlements has shrunk grazing areas to the point that sometimes no space remains at all. Violence and fear force many communities to sell their flocks and lose their source of livelihood and traditional life.

Documenting human rights violations in the Occupied Territories is a central tool in protecting Palestinian communities. Activists and volunteers are physically present in villages, fields, and grazing areas to closely monitor what happens.

Documentation includes photos and videos of attacks, threats, denial of access to land, tree uprooting, equipment confiscation, and harm to herds.

Additionally, testimonies from Palestinians themselves are collected—personal accounts, documents, and medical records—building a broad, evidence-based picture of reality on the ground. The presence of documenters and the ability to collect materials in real time strengthen communities, reduce violence, and send a clear message: they are not alone.

Many Palestinian communities in the West Bank must contend with settler violence, restricted access to land, and fear of losing property rights.

Accompaniment by Israeli and international volunteers enables farmers to work safely, maintain continuity in cultivation, and ensure the olive harvest—an essential source of livelihood and cultural heritage.

Beyond this, protective presence expresses solidarity and provides farmers with a sense of international support.

We focus on immediate response to the basic needs of Palestinian communities harmed by settler violence and lack of protection from authorities.

Aid includes: food and essential supplies for families in distress, especially in times of emergency; water and basic equipment for shepherding communities cut off from water sources; and, when possible, response to urgent financial needs.

We work with over 1,000 volunteers from Israel and around the world, who assist with protective presence, shepherd accompaniment, support for agriculture, rehabilitation of land and water sources, as well as educational activities.

Volunteer activity protects people in real time and reflects solidarity and a civil society committed to justice and human dignity. Volunteers benefit from teamwork, familiarity with the field, and belonging to a community.
